PAYDAY THE HEIST REVIEW

Playtime: around 20 hours

PROS

+ implements teamwork really well
+6 varied crimes to do
+3 class trees that takes a total of 145 levels to complete
+very fast paced
+different types of enemies adds variety
+each location is unique and makes you strategize
+lots of weapons, items and perks to choose from in loadouts
+dynamic objectives
+unique hostage mechanic

CONS

-police waves are endless, breather is almost impossible
-heists are hard even on normal difficulty
-some maps can't be played on easy or normal
-only 4 characters/masks to choose from
-no tutorial
-no visual cues on some things happening during missions
-ammo runs out quick due to enemies spawning non stop
-you get shell shocked after 1 normal/hard game
-few maps
-bland visuals on some maps

FINAL VERDICT

Overall, Payday may not be perfect and the broken enemy spawning makes it tiring to play after a while, but the fun moments while planning with your friends and helping a convict escape by making him ride a chair tied to a parachute is very satisfying and you can't help but play for more. If the broken ala AI director of the game gets fixed this game would be the crime version of Left 4 dead 2. I recommend this if you like coop games and twitchy shooters.
